When you picture Hayat Charity, you probably see the food parcels, the medical aid, the children pulled back from the brink. You should — that is our heart. But none of it would reach a single family without something far less photogenic: the phone bill. The rent. The safeguarding officer. The auditor. The server that processes your donation at 2am on a Friday night.
These are our running costs — and right now, they are the most underfunded part of our work. Donors love to give to a project. Almost nobody wants to fund the office that makes the project possible. So we are asking, openly and urgently: please be the donor who does.

Without running costs covered, our programmes do not run. It really is that simple.

Why running costs matter

A charity without running costs is not a lean charity. It is a closed charity. Here is what your support actually keeps alive:
